Hiroshima 2024/1/9

Yesterday, in my town, we held 'Tondo,' a traditional Japanese event that takes place after New Year's Day, at a primary school.

We usually decorate the entrance of our house on New Year's Day.

Some people express their resolutions through Japanese calligraphy.

We got together at the primary school and burned them.

As a firefighting brigade, we looked out for the fire and extinguished it.

We roasted rice cakes over the remaining bamboo fire before it went out completely.

They were so good, but nobody took any photos because they were focused on eating.

Sweet Home, Hiroshima!

You can know a lot about Japanese culture. We want to know about your culture.
